COVID-19 Update

In accordance with Rutgers University's social distancing efforts related to COVID-19, many Spring 2020 OCPE courses and events have been postponed, rescheduled, or moved to an online format. Please visit our Operating Status page for the latest information and updates.

Course Status for Wed 3/7 and Thur 3/8

Due to adverse winter weather expected to impact our area, Rutgers University is closed on Wednesday March 7. Therefore, all OCPE courses for Wednesday have also been cancelled. This includes: 
  • Landscape Project Management (Class is rescheduled for April 6)
  • Greenhouse Crop Production (Class is rescheduled for March 14-15)
  • Two-Year Turf Management, Year I & II


OCPE also has some course schedule changes for Thursday, March 8

  • NJDEP UST Training for A& B Operators: POSTPONED (A new date will be announced soon)
  • Park Management & Liability IssuesPOSTPONED(Class is rescheduled for March 29)
  • Two-Year Turf Management, Year I & II: Expected to run as scheduled, but check Sakai for updates on Thursday morning. 

    As always, please use common sense and good judgment to decide if your local road conditions are safe for travel. Safety should be your top priority in deciding whether or not to travel to a Rutgers continuing education course.

    Course Status for Wednesday, March 7, 2018

    Due to adverse winter weather expected to impact our area, some OCPE course schedules have changed: 
    • Landscape Project Management: POSTPONED (Class is rescheduled; it will be held on April 6)
    • Two-Year Turf Management, Year I: CANCELLED
    • Two-Year Turf Management, Year II: Currently expected to be held as scheduled
    • Greenhouse Crop Production: POSTPONED (Class is rescheduled; it will be held on March 14-15)

    We will continue monitoring the weather. Based on evolving weather reports, we may end up delaying or cancelling courses currently listed as running. A final decision about each course will be made and posted to our website no later than 6:00am on Wednesday morning.

      Course Status for Friday, January 5, 2018

      Due to adverse winter weather impacting our area, Rutgers University is closed through 10:00am on Friday. 

      Therefore, some OCPE course schedules for Friday, January 5, have changed: 
       
      • Professional Golf Turf Management School Two Year Certificate Program -- Delayed start at 10:00am. Class will end at 3:30pm instead of 2:30pm.
      • Landscape Plants -- Cancelled
      • Landscape Design -- Running on time, as scheduled
      If Rutgers extends the university-wide closure, courses listed above as delayed or running may end up being cancelled. Any changes in the above course schedules will be posted to this webpage no later than 9:00am on Friday morning:
