Weather Update for December 18, 2013

Course Update for Tuesday December 17

Current weather reports are predicting 2-4 inches of snow in our area, starting early Tuesday morning and ending in the afternoon/evening. 

Due to the snow, several of our courses for Tuesday, December 17, 2013 have changed:
  • Recycling Management Skills - CANCELLED for Tuesday ONLY. Will run an extended session from 8:00am to 4:30pm on Wednesday, Dec. 18.
  • Landscape Lighting CANCELLED* 
  • Water Management & Drainage - CANCELLED*
  • Industrial Waste Treatment (evening course) - RUNNING as Scheduled
*Cancelled landscaping courses will be rescheduled shortly. We will contact registrants with new course dates as soon as possible.

At this time, our classes for Tuesday, December 10, are running as follows.

O&M of Pumps: CANCELLED for Tues 12/10 ONLY. Will run as scheduled on Wed 12/11 and Thur 12/12.

Communicable Disease Outbreak Training: CANCELLED. Will be rescheduled in 2014.

Industrial Waste Treatment (evening course): CANCELLED. Will meet again on Thursday 12/12.

2-Year Turf I & II: Running as scheduled.

Radon Measurement Course & Exam (NC): Running as scheduled.

If roads are icy in your area, it is fine to arrive late for class.

Rain is falling in the New Brunswick area, but roads around much of the metropolitan area remain icy or slick.  Temperatures are predicted to rise as the morning progresses. 

Soil and Plant Relationships: Class will run as scheduled.  If roads are icy in your area, it is fine to arrive late for class.

Turf I: Class will begin at 10:45 am.

Turf II: Class will begin as scheduled at 9:00 a.m.  If roads are icy in your area, it is fine to arrive late for class.

Horse Management: Class will run as scheduled.

TUESDAY, DECEMBER 10, 2013
O & M of Pumps: Class is cancelled for Tuesday (12/10) – will be held on Wednesday and Thursday (12/11 & 12/12) – registration will be at 7:30 am and class will start promptly at 8:00 am and run until 4:00 pm with brief working lunches on both  days. Credits assigned will remain the same.

At this time, all other classes are running as scheduled on Tuesday, December 10.

Weather update for week of December 9-13, 2013

Snow falling Sunday evening in New Brunswick is predicted to turn to rain with rising temperatures early in the morning of Monday, Dec. 9th.  Temperatures are predicted to rise to 40 degrees F by 8 a.m. Monday.

If conditions overnight follow predictions, all continuing education classes will run as planned Monday, Dec. 9th.  This website will be updated Monday by 6 a.m. based on actual conditions.
