Weather Update for January 22, 2014

The winter storm is now over and roads are being cleared. The course schedule for Wednesday, January 22, 2014, is as follows:

  • NJDEP Case Study Training for LSRPs: CANCELLED, rescheduled for February 4, 2014
  • Turf 1 & 2: Check Sakai for updates
  • 3 Week Turf: Check Sakai for updates
  • Advanced Water Operations: RUNNING as scheduled
All classes will run as scheduled on Thursday, January 23, 2014.

Because of heavy snowfall, Rutgers University has declared a weather emergency in effect until noon on Wednesday, January 22, 2014.  As a result, the Office of Continuing Professional Education will be closed until that time.

The course schedule for Wednesday, January 22, 2014, is as follows:

Because of heavy snowfall, Rutgers University has declared a weather emergency in effect until noon on Wednesday, January 22, 2014.  As a result, the Office of Continuing Professional Education will be closed until that time.

The course schedule for Wednesday, January 22, 2014, is as follows:

  • 3 Week Turf: Check Sakai for updates
  • Advanced Water Operations: RUNNING as scheduled
We will continue monitoring the storm and will update this page with any additional changes in course schedules.

Current weather reports are predicting rain and possibly sleet and/or snow to impact the New Brunswick, NJ area at some point on Friday morning.

Due to the uncertainty of these predictions, currently, all OCPE classes are running as planned. This includes:

Jan. 3, 2014 -- Rutgers Office Closed

Because of snowfall and heavy winds, Rutgers University has declared a weather emergency for Friday, January 3rd.  As a result, the Office of Continuing Education will be closed for the day. 
                   
Landscape Plants: Identification, Selection and Application class is cancelled today. Class will begin next Friday, January 10, and a makeup day is planned for March 21, 2014.
Based on current weather forecasts, the 2-Year Professional Golf Turf Management School and the 3-Week Turf  School are expected to open as scheduled on Monday, January 6th.  This site will be updated as the storm moves out of the region, so check back for the most current information.
